Tuition & Fees Overview

Undergraduate Tuition Structure

Banded Tuition Rate (Full-Time Students)
Longwood University uses a banded (flat-rate) tuition model for undergraduate students enrolled full-time.

This means:

  • Students taking 12 to 18 credit hours in a semester are charged one flat tuition rate, regardless of the number of credits within that range.
  • The rate is based on a 15-credit hour course load.

Part-Time Students
Students registered for fewer than 12 credit hours are charged per credit hour.

Audited Courses
Courses taken for audit (no academic credit) are billed at the same rate as courses taken for credit.

Additional Course Fees
Some classes may include course-specific fees that are charged in addition to tuition.

Required Fees (All Students)

Charged per credit hour for all undergraduate and graduate students, including interns, student teachers, and independent study participants.
