The University Center and Student Activities Office approves all posters/flyers that are posted across campus. The office also oversees the hanging of all items in the  Upchurch University Center and the Dining Hall.

Only Residential and Commuter Life staff can post items in residence halls and apartment communities.

Any items that are posted without following these guidelines will be removed, and if any damage results from such postings, the individual or organization will be held responsible for the repair.

No posting is allowed on walls, windows or doors.

Get Approval Before Printing

Students, faculty/staff, departments, businesses, or organizations can submit items to be approved either in person or by email.

If you would like to have your posters/flyers approved before printing then you should email your file to our staff at postings@longwood.edu. After receiving an approval confirmation you will be allowed to add “Upchurch University Center Approved for Posting.”

Submit for Approval In Person

If you add the approved for posting line on your poster and it was not approved it will be removed. If submitting in person, please bring one copy of your original to the University Center, Room 201 200A, to be stamped for approval. After receiving the stamped original, the sponsor will then be responsible for making 40 copies of the stamped version.

  • 4 copies should be delivered to Room 201 200A in the Student Union Upchurch for posting in the Union and the Dining Hall
  • 18 can be brought to the RCL office for distribution in the residence halls
  • 12 posters can be posted on approved bulletin boards on campus.
Space is limited and posting is done on a first-come, first-serve basis.
