Looking for a relaxed way to connect with your professors outside of class? Coffee Talks is a new initiative from Student Success Services that gives you a chance to invite a faculty member for coffee and conversation—with a free $15 Starbucks gift card to cover the drinks.
Coffee Talks
Whether you want to ask questions about your major, talk through class topics, or simply get to know your professor better, this is a great way to build confidence, practice communication skills, and strengthen connections that support your success at Longwood.
How Do I Ask My Professor to Coffee?
- Invite your professor to coffee. Need help with how to ask?
- Agree on a date, time, and location.
- Submit the Coffee Talks Request Form.
- Pick up your Coffee Talks gift card from the front desk at Student Success Services.
- Return the card to the front desk after your meeting.
- Complete a short feedback form to help us improve the program.

To request a gift card, complete the short form below. You’ll need:
- Your name
- Your L Number
- Your professor’s name
- The date of your scheduled Coffee Talk
