In an era when threats from cybercriminals are commonplace, the Office of Information Security is charged with keeping those threats away from Longwood University.
The Office of Information Security develops and implements campus-wide policies, controls and procedures to protect the University's information technology resources and systems. Threats include modification, disclosure or destruction of data, whether intentional or inadvertent. Additional responsibilities include arbitrating and resolving issues and problems relating to ownership, accessibility and updating of computer-generated or computer-stored data at the University. We also educate the user community in the ethical usage of information technology resources and systems.
