As a Longwood University student, I understand and accept the responsibility to:

  • Submit full payment of tuition and fees generated from my registration.
  • Submit full payment of all charges for housing and dining services.
  • Submit full payment of any library fines, parking fines, damages, and other applicable miscellaneous charges incurred.
  • Pay a $50 fee for any item(s) returned by the bank, ACH electronic drafts, or paper checks. (Insufficient fund payments may result in an Honor Code violation with the Office of Student Conduct and Integrity.)
  • Maintain a current mailing address on file with the Office of Registration. (Refund checks and tax forms will be delayed if addresses are not current.)
  • Acknowledge my Longwood email as the official means of communication.
  • Read my Longwood email daily.
  • Set up bank account information for Direct Deposit of student loan refunds.
Enter a mobile phone number and carrier in My Student Account if I wish to receive billing text messages.
  • Read and abide by the rules in University catalogs and handbooks.
  • Review electronic billings and pay the University by the stated due dates. (Paper bills will not be sent to enrolled students.)
  • Pay the University any amounts not covered by financial aid, with the understanding that aid may be adjusted due to eligibility.
  • Return any funds owed to Longwood if adjustments are made after a refund is processed. (I acknowledge a hold will remain on my account until the money is returned.)

Dropping Courses

I am responsible for dropping courses I do not plan to attend. Courses must be dropped during the 100% refund period, or tuition and fees will be assessed accordingly.

Past Due Accounts

I understand that any past-due balance will place a hold on my account and prevent me from:

  • Accessing assigned housing and meal plans
  • Registering for future classes
  • Receiving official transcripts
  • Receiving my diploma

Tuition/Fee Appeals

Any communication disputing an amount owed must follow the published Tuition/Fee Appeal process.
