All students complete internships in the Longwood Speech Hearing Learning Services Center (SHLS) for three semesters before being placed in outside placements.
Graduate students are then placed in two external placements, one in a school system and one in a medical placement (e.g., hospitals, nursing facilities, rehabilitation center, home health).
These rotations average about 12-15 weeks and are based on student interests, location, and the availability of a high-quality externship experience with ASHA Certified speech-language pathologists.
