We are pleased to announce that Longwood Speech, Hearing, and Learning Services (SHLS) is now offering an Audiology drive-up service to help clients with immediate equipment needs. Some of the services offered include:
- Battery checks and replacement
- Hearing aid repair and adjustments
- Remote hearing aid programming when possible
- Consultation and technology support
Beginning April 30, the drive-up service is offered every Thursday, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Drive-up Service
When you arrive
- Park in the designated parking spaces in the SHLS parking lot
- Call the office at (434) 395-2972 to notify the audiologist of your arrival
A SHLS staff member, wearing protective gear, will meet you at your vehicle to pick-up your equipment.
The equipment will be returned immediately after servicing if possible, or arrangements will be made for pick up at a later date.
Clients Unable to Leave Home
Most solutions do not require that the hearing aid wearer be present.
When you make your appointment please describe the problem during the call, and send your aids with someone who is able to come to SHLS Drive-Up Service.
We encourage everyone to stay safe at home when necessary!
