The Primitive Technology Club fosters awareness of technologies used in prehistory, and provides hands-on experience in the performance and use of such technologies.
Some of our crafts include cordage, basket weaving, fire making, hunting and trapping, flint-knapping and ceramics. Join us for our bi-monthly meetings, and our semester seminar weekend camp out. We practice some of the above trades and offer individualized projects; dying cordage, making atlatls and testing them, yucca sandals, bone needle making and open fire primitive cooking.
Prim Tech is open to all Longwood students regardless of major or skill level.

We do a variety of social activities throughout the year including booths at Oktoberfest and Spring Weekend and dinner together where we discuss sociological ideas.
