The purpose of internships within the Sociology major is to provide you with realistic exposure to the professional environment, while also providing practical, on-the-job experience in a particular field of study.
Anthropology & Archaeology majors may work with the Archaeology Field School and/or the Institute of Archaeology to complete the internship requirement.

Typically you'll complete your internship requirement during the summer between your junior and senior year. You'll need to have completed at least 18 hours of major coursework and have a cumulative GPA of at least 2.0 to be eligible for internship enrollment.
Our Internship deadlines vary and a good guideline to follow is begin identifying potential internship options no later than Fall Break if you plan to complete an internship over the summer.
