Civil War Seminar

Each spring Longwood University and the Appomattox Court House National Historical Park sponsor the annual Civil War Seminar focusing on the latest scholarship and publications on the Civil War. The day-long seminar is free and open to the public and features noted authors, historians and scholars from Virginia and throughout the country.

Undergraduate Medieval Conference

The annual undergraduate conference highlights the diversity of medieval studies in the United States and Europe. Featuring speakers from the region and beyond, the event attracts medievalists from Virginia, West Virginia, the Carolinas, Maryland and the eastern seaboard. Events include a banquet, student sessions, keynote addresses and hands-on demonstrations.
