Hannah McElheny Ledger ’04, M.S. ’14 (community and college counseling), was named associate athletics director for academics and student services at Longwood. Ledger, who earned her bachelor’s degree in history, is entering her 12th year at Longwood and her sixth year in the athletics department.
She oversees academics for all student-athletes, including tutoring, study tables and one-on-one meetings. She will also oversee the compliance department as part of her expanded duties. Under her leadership, student-athletes posted a record-high overall GPA for the 2021-22 academic year, achieving a 3.21 cumulative GPA. In addition, 96 student-athletes earned either President’s List or Dean’s List recognition
