Suggestions/Grievances

The Student Engagement staff welcomes suggestions and feedback about programs and services. You may share your input directly with any staff member or by email.

Students who wish to file a grievance related to any Student Engagement office should contact Cheryl Steele, Associate Vice President for Student Engagement and Initiatives, at steelecl@longwood.edu  within 30 days of the event(s) related to the grievance.

A grievance should include:

• A clear description of the University rule, regulation, policy, or action the grievance concerns
• The date the action occurred
• A summary of any steps the student has taken to resolve the issue informally
• Any relevant documentation that supports the grievance

If the grievance is about the Associate Vice President for Student Engagement and Initiatives, it should be submitted to the Vice President for Student Affairs, Cameron Patterson, at pattersoncd@longwood.edu and include the same information listed above.
