The Sweet Briar College Mid-Atlantic Regional Conference of Undergraduate Scholarship (MARCUS) is devoted exclusively to the scholarship and research activities of undergraduate students. Students from Virginia and surrounding states are invited to present scholarly research from within all academic disciplines. Students may choose to participate in an oral session, poster session, or elevator speech.
The 22nd annual Mid-Atlantic Regional Conference of Undergraduate Scholarship (MARCUS) will take place virtually, on Saturday, October 24, 2020; hosted by Randolph College. MARCUS is a presentation venue for undergraduate scholarship in all disciplines.
Undergraduates are invited to present their summer research, internships, senior research, class projects, or any other scholarship.

Important Dates and Deadlines (registration is only needed for presenters, guests can access content freely):
- Early Bird Registration Deadline: 5pm, Friday, October 9, 2020
- Regular Registration Deadline: 5pm, Friday, October 16, 2020
- Presentation Submission Deadline: 11:59 pm, Sunday, October 18, 2020
- Presentations will be available for viewing by the public: 9am, Friday, October 23, 2020
- Presentations will be open for questions and responses: 10am until 2pm, Saturday, October 24, 2020
- Presentations will no longer be available for viewing: 5pm, Friday, October 30, 2020
Registration is only needed for presenters, guests can access content freely.
Registration requires a payment of $6.24 ($5 registration+ $1.24 processing fee) per presentation until 10/9. After 10/9, registration increases to $11.44 per presentation.

MARCUS was founded and hosted by Sweet Briar College from 1999-2018. Randolph College served as host in 2015, and has hosted since 2019.
