The Virginia Conference on Race will be held at Roanoke College on April 7-8, 2022.

The Center for Studying Structures of Race at Roanoke College is hosting its inaugural student conference on race studies. 

This two-day conference begins on Thursday evening, April 7th, with a keynote speaker Dr. Morgan Smalls (James Madison University). On Friday, April 8th, talented undergraduate and graduate students will present work engaging diversity in a variety of contexts and through different theoretical lenses.

Student submissions from all academic fields, including but not limited to the arts and performing arts, sciences, social sciences, and humanities are welcome. Additionally, traditional research presentations, poster board submissions, art displays, short performances, and short films will be accepted.
