Have Questions? Freshman Registration Q&A
As soon as your financial aid offer is available, you’ll be able to view it within your email. Take time to review the offer and understand the different types of aid. You can choose which awards you want to accept directly in myLongwood. If you have questions, contact the Financial Aid staff at finaid@Longwood.edu or 434.395.2077.
Financial Aid verification assures that financial aid dollars are going to the right students. As part of this, every year a number of Longwood financial aid recipients are randomly chosen to have their FAFSA data double-checked, or verified.
If your FAFSA was selected for verification, the Office of Financial Aid will notify you by email as well as in your initial financial aid offer. You may view the items you need to submit to complete the verification process in your myLongwood portal.
The priority deadline to submit the required information is May 9th, but the sooner we receive your information the sooner we can finalize your financial aid offer.
Contact the Office of Financial Aid with any questions.
Beginning in March, students will receive an email about registering for New Lancer Orientation. Orientation is scheduled by major and is being held the week of July 14-18, 2025.
