1839 Experience
The 1839 Experience is a great way to communicate with other new Lancers and your Peer Mentor before New Lancer Days begin in August.
Beginning in August, you'll explore a variety of topics related to Longwood life through The 1839 Experience, an online experience where you and other new students in your First-Year Community group can get your questions answered and help with your transition to college life.
To access The 1839 Experience, you'll use Canvas, an online learning tool, to discuss academics, campus involvement, residential housing, campus services, and resources.
The Office of Student Success monitors the 1839 experience to ensure that Peer Mentors are fulfilling their roles and responsibilities and to determine which topics generate the most discussion and which areas are challenging.
