Richmond Times-Dispatch political reporter and columnist Jeff Schapiro will speak Thursday, Jan. 23, at 7 p.m. in Molnar Recital Hall in Wygal.
Schapiro, who has covered Virginia elections and the Virginia Capitol for 30 years, will reflect on the recent governor’s race and what can be expected from Governor-elect McAuliffe. A light reception open to all audience members will follow the program, which is free and open to the public.
Schapiro joined the Times-Dispatch in 1987 after reporting from the Virginia Capitol for United Press International and Virginia Business magazine. His column appears Wednesday and Sunday, and it is carried by many other Berkshire Hathaway-published newspapers in Virginia. His video column is posted Thursday to the Times-Dispatch’s website, timesdispatch.com.
This is the first lecture in the inaugural season of the Longwood Leadership Forum, which will highlight outstanding examples of leadership in the arts, education, literature, sciences, technology and philanthropy.
