Andy Stefanovich, an innovative marketing consultant, will speak Thursday, Feb. 21, at 6:30 p.m. in Longwood University’s Blackwell Ballroom.
The lecture, "The Museum of Life," free and open to the public, is part of the Barbara L. Bishop Distinguished Lecture Series in the Visual Arts. It will be followed by a question and answer session as well as a booksigning.
Stefanovich, of Richmond, is the chief curator and provocateur at the international marketing and branding consultancy, Prophet. He has worked with major businesses, including GE and Gap, and is the author of the bookLook at More: A Proven Approach to Innovation, Growth and Change, published in April 2011.
"His whole thing is looking at management and administration in a really creative way and how you can approach problem solving differently," said Emily Grabiec, curator of education at the Longwood Center for the Visual Arts (LCVA).
"We like to pick speakers who have an interdisciplinary approach that appeal to a lot of different departments," Grabiec added. "With Stefanovich, we have business and art. We thought that would be an interesting combination, to show the creativity of business and management administration."
The Bishop Lecture Series is sponsored by the LCVA, the College of Business and Economics, the Cook-Cole College of Arts and Sciences and the Office of the President. For more information, call 434-395-2206.
