Longwood professor appointed to Virginia Board of Counseling

Dr. Kevin Doyle, assistant professor of counselor education, has appointed by Gov. Bob McDonnell to the Virginia Board of Counseling.

"Dr. Doyle’s appointment to the board is not only great for him professionally, but for the counselor education program here at Longwood," said Dr. Jennifer Apperson, professor of psychology. "He will bring valuable insight with him—how we can improve our program to best serve our students."

The Virginia Board of Counseling licenses professional counselors for work in a variety of settings—private practices, colleges and community health agencies.
