What’s Included in Your Meal Plan

All meal plans are offered on a per-semester basis.

  • Meals do not carry over to the next semester.
  • Bonus Dollars carry over from Fall to Spring, as long as a meal plan is purchased both semesters.

Every Longwood meal plan includes:

  • Meals
  • Meal Exchanges
  • Guest Meals
  • Bonus Dollars

Meals

Use your meals in Dorrill Dining Hall, our all-you-care-to-eat location.
Each time you dine in, one meal is deducted from your semester balance—just swipe your Lancer Card and enjoy.

Unused meals do not carry over to the next semester.

Meal Exchanges

Meal exchanges allow you to use a meal swipe for select combo meals at on-campus dining spots, including:

  • P.O.D. Market
  • Greens to Go
  • FarmGrill
  • Dorrill Dining Hall (to-go meals)

Each plan includes a set number of exchanges per week. Exchanges reset weekly and are deducted from your total meal count.

Guest Meals

Want to share a meal with friends or family?
Each meal plan includes guest meals, redeemable at Dorrill Dining Hall.

Bonus Dollars (1 Bonus Dollar = $1.00)

  • A tax-free, pre-set amount included with your meal plan each semester.
  • Carry over from Fall to Spring if you have a meal plan both semesters.
  • Expire at the end of Spring semester — use them before they’re gone!
  • Can be used only at Longwood Dining locations (not off-campus).

Longwood Dining Locations include:
Moe’s, Chick-fil-A, P.O.D. Market, The Comma, JPB Concession Stand,
Dorrill Dining Hall, Greens to Go, Starbucks, Panda Express, and FarmGrill.

Change Your Meal Plan

Residential Students

Residential students may drop or downgrade their meal plan for the academic year before the end of the add/drop period.

If a meal plan is dropped or downgraded on or before the semester deadline, the student will be charged for:

  • Any Bonus Dollars already spent
  • A prorated daily rate for meals used

Meal plans can be added or upgraded at any time during the semester.

  • Any plan changes made after the first day of classes will be billed at a prorated daily rate for both meals and Bonus Dollars.

To make changes, visit lancercard.longwood.edu.

Commmuter Students

Commuter students add, drop, or change their meal plan during the drop/add period.

  • No changes can be made after 5:00 p.m. on the last day of drop/add.
  • Commuter meal plans are not prorated and must be purchased each semester.
  • If a plan is dropped after the first day of classes, a pro-rated charge will apply.

To make changes, visit lancercard.longwood.edu.

Once selected, your meal plan will be:

  • Added to your Lancer Card
  • Billed to your student account, viewable and payable through MyLongwood
