University Health Center

The University Health Center (UHC) is staffed by a physician and advanced practice clinicians who assess and treat many common acute health conditions affecting the college health population. The UHC is managed and operated by an independent provider, Potomac Health Solutions. UHC staff are employed by Potomac, but work daily in close coordination with university staff. Any requests for medical records related to treatment at the UHC should be directed to Potomac Healthcare Solutions.

In case of a medical emergency, call 911 or Campus Police at (434) 395-2091.

If you feel that your illness or injury cannot wait until we are open again, your options are:

Operations

UHC is closed during University holidays and provides limited services during inclement weather closings and summer sessions.  

Services are only available to students enrolled in the current semester, who have paid the health center fee, faculty and staff.

Cancelled Appointments

If you are unable to make a scheduled appointment, we request that you cancel or reschedule at least 2 hours in advance.
