Who We Are

• The Longwood University Foundation, Inc., is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization created under the laws of the Commonwealth of Virginia that is devoted to advancing the mission of Longwood University.
• The Foundation’s primary role is to manage the endowed investments, seeking to continue growth, while administering the award and distribution of scholarships and program funding according to the stated intent of donors.

• To support the academic, programmatic, and economic goals of Longwood University.
• To maximize private sector support by engaging in ethical and responsible donor cultivation, strategic investment plans, and timely distributions of private resources.

Our Vision

• To strengthen the University's positive impact on the community, state, and region.
• To provide resources to ensure high levels of institutional excellence beyond the capabilities of state funding.
• To adhere to the highest standards of stewardship for private sector University support.
• To increase awareness about the Foundation's function and purpose to all its constituencies.
