Summer Professional Development Opportunities Through the Department of Education and Counseling

Join us on Thursday, June 20, from 10:00 AM to Noon in Greenwood Library for Text Tasting: A Tea Party for Educators to Browse and Chat About Text Sets.  Sponsored by the Southside Virginia Writing Project, participants will take home ideas for next year's ELA text sets...and a new network of colleagues.  Teachers, coaches, reading specialists, and librarians in grades 6-12:  register for free!

You're also invited to join us on July 25-26 for the 20th Longwood University Summer Literacy Institute: Literacy Aloud.  Workshop presenters are Lynsey Burkins and Franki Sibberson.  Thursday evening banquet speaker is storyteller Donna L.
