The 18th Longwood University Summer Literacy Institute  was held on July 21-22, 2022.  Educators from across Virginia were able to hear workshop presenter Melissa Stewart, award-winning author Carole Boston Weatherford, and a variety of concurrent session speakers.  Yolanda Gladden, author of When the Schools Shut Down: A Young Girl's Story of Virginia's "Lost Generation" and the Brown v. Board of Education of Topeka Decision, was at the Thursday evening reception held at the Robert Russa Moton Museum.
