Jeffrey Todd Parrott is a professional actor who now calls Virginia home, after previously living in both Chicago and NYC! At Longwood, he teaches courses in performance and has directed productions such as "12 Angry Jurors" and "Little Women the Musical". As an actor, he has been a part of over 50 productions at theaters all over the country including Asolo Repertory Theatre, Virginia Theatre Festival, Theatre Raleigh, Peninsula Players, Saint Michael's Playhouse, and more. He can also be seen in tv and film, including a recurring role on the NBC hit television drama "Chicago Med". He earned his BFA in Music Theatre from Elon University, and his MFA in Acting from The Theatre School at DePaul University. He then furthered his research of acting techniques, practicing First Folio Technique at Orlando Shakespeare Theatre, studying improvisation under the granddaughter of Viola Spolin, Aretha Sills, and learning from one of the last living proteges of Sanford Meisner, Larry Silverberg. He has also worked with and studied from world renowned leaders in the industry, including Craig Carnelia, Susan Egan, Chicago Tribune critic Chris Jones, and Broadway directors Dexter Bullard and Frank Galati. He has served as the College Rep Chair for Virginia Thespians, and is a proud member of MTEA, AIN, AEA, and SAG/AFTRA.
