Dr. MacNeil is an assistant professor in the Psychology Department at Longwood University. She is a passionate educator and researcher who earned her BS in Psychology from Gannon University, followed by an MA and PhD in Adult Development and Aging from Cleveland State University. She loves bringing psychology to life in her courses, whether it's Intro to Psych, Health Psych, or Psychology of Aging. Her research dives into how individuals with dementia perceive their illness and how these perceptions shape their well-being. Originally from New York, Dr. MacNeil now enjoys exploring the beauty of Virginia, unwinding with a good book, and finding her zen on the yoga mat.
