Dr. M. Leigh Lunsford holds a PhD in Applied Mathematics (1995) from the University of Alabama System (Huntsville), a Master's degree in Mathematics (1991) from the University of Alabama in Huntsville, and Bachelor's degree in Mathematics and Computer Science (1985) from Mississippi State University. Her PhD work was in analysis, particularly in the area of variational inequalities. Since then she has mostly published work in mathematical exposition, pedagogy, and assessment, especially in the area of statistics.
In her spare time she enjoys spending time with her husband (Marcus Pendergrass) and their two cats (P-Pod and Scamp). She is very involved in local theatre and has appeared in over twenty area productions. Other interests of hers include cooking, walking, bike riding, and gardening. To learn more about "Dr. L."
