Evan is a social studies and community-school engagement specialist with a passion for place-based curriculum and program design across K–16 contexts. A former middle and high school history teacher, he holds a BS in Social Studies Education from Boston University, an MS in Educational Studies from Johns Hopkins University with a concentration in neuroeducation and family–school–community collaboration, and a PhD in Curriculum and Instruction from North Carolina State University with a focus on social studies teacher education.
