Tim Holmstrom is a Professor of Physics at Longwood University. He began working at Longwood in 2008, and he has been Chair of the department of Chemistry and Physics since 2016.
He has a dual bachelor’s degree in Physics and Material Science and Engineering from the University of Michigan, a masters in Material Science and Engineering from the University of Illinois, and a Ph.D. in Physics from the University of Virginia. His research is in the area of Nuclear Experimental Physics. Dr. Holmstrom is a member of the Hall A collaboration at the Thomas Jefferson Nuclear Accelerator Facility in Newport News, VA.
