Vicki Hobson
Assistant Professor of Elementary Education

Vicki is a passionate educator who taught elementary school for several years, served as an instructional coach, and worked in central office as an equity education specialist. She holds a BA in Psychology, a Master’s of Teaching in Elementary Education, and an EdD in Curriculum and Instruction from the University of Virginia. Vicki is also an award-winning curriculum designer who specializes in the development of inquiry-based, culturally responsive instructional resources. With almost two decades of experience in education she has partnered with multiple organizations to develop curriculum including the Virginia Social Studies Leaders Consortium, Virginia Department of Education, C3 Teachers and the Virginia Museum of History and Culture. She has also shared her work extensively at multiple national, regional, and state conferences including the National Council for the Social Studies, National Association of Gifted Children, and the National Council for History Education.
