Dr. Jennifer Apperson is a Professor of Counselor Education and Psychology. She is currently serving as the Program Director for the Counselor Education Program.
Dr. Apperson obtained her Bachelor of Arts Degree in Psychology from Stephens College in Missouri, her Master's Degree in Community and College Counseling and her Ph.D. in Counseling Psychology both from the University of Akron in Ohio.
In her 37 years at Longwood University she has served in several administrative positions and on more committees than she can count. She is currently serving on the Longwood Foundation Board and the Virginia Counselors Association Foundation Board.
This year she and Dr. Eric Laws are writing the histories of Psychology and Counselor Education at Longwood University.
