Community Health at Longwood

A top priority at Longwood University is our community’s health and well-being. As we navigated the nationwide Covid-19 pandemic, several restrictions were put into place across campus to ensure the overall health of our academic community. There are currently no restrictions or requirements in place regarding Covid-19.

Students in our community who test positive for Covid-19 are asked to follow current CDC guidelines and contact the CARE Team. As is typical for all illnesses, students are responsible for contacting their professors, securing excused absences, making up missed work, and finding a place to recover.

Employees who test positive for Covid-19 are asked to follow current CDC guidelines and work with their supervisor on necessary time away from campus.

Longwood cannot include Covid-19 immunization among the list of required vaccines for students, but we strongly encourage anyone who can safely receive the vaccine and appropriate boosters to do so.
