Facilities Building Replacement

Construction Phase

Longwood’s Facilities Department is currently housed in the old, small, and obsolete Bristow Building.  Several other organizations that are closely associated with Facilities Department are located in other buildings on- and off-campus, hampering coordination among them.  Space limitations preclude expansion on main campus, so a new building will be constructed on the site of a former lumberyard located just behind Longwood Landings on Fourth Street.  This project will free up space on central campus for other key uses. Construction commenced in January 2023 and is expected to be completed in summer 2024.
