Career fairs and networking events at Longwood bring employers, graduate schools, and alumni to campus to meet with students like you. These events are your chance to explore industries, make connections, and practice the professional skills that will carry you into your career.

What to Expect
Career fairs are hosted throughout the year and may include:
- University-Wide Career, Internship & Graduate School Fair – Connect with employers from all industries, plus graduate programs.
- Teacher Recruitment Day – Network with school divisions and participate in on-site interviews.
- Employer Meetups, Panels & Workshops – Smaller events throughout the semester that let you practice networking and get industry insights.
How to Prepare
- Update your resume (and bring printed copies).
- Dress professionally — visit the Career Closet for free attire if you need it.
- Practice your introduction and a few questions for employers.
- Research participating organizations ahead of time.
- Bring a notepad to jot down names, tips, and opportunities.
Fall Career, Internship, and Graduate School Fair

Students can join alumni, employers, and graduate school representatives at our Fall Career, Internship, and Graduate School Fair to learn more about how to get the career you want, what top industry players are looking for in new hires, and how you can get a step ahead of other applicants.
Professional headshots for student LinkedIn profiles will also be available. Come develop your professional network and enjoy learning more about companies that want to hire Lancers!

Fall Teacher Recruitment Day

Fair: 1:00 - 4:00 p.m. | Interviews: 4:15 - 5:45 p.m.
Maugans Alumni Center, Blackwell Ballroom
Join school district representatives from around Virginia and beyond at our Teacher Recruitment Day to learn more about their opportunities, openings, and application process. This year, we will continue to offer on-site interviews with school divisions. From 1:00-4:00 pm, students have the opportunity to ask questions, learn about opportunities, and get to know the details of different districts around the state. Students will be able to schedule interviews for later in the day, and will return between 4:15-5:45 pm to hold your interview directly with the district! Come prepared with questions and ideas, and bring your resume, lesson plan samples, and any other portfolio items you would like to showcase.
