The CAPS Team comprises Licensed Psychologists and Licensed Professional Counselors (LPCs) who are dedicated to supporting the personal growth and development of Longwood students, along with a Resident in Counseling and advanced graduate Counselors-in-Training who provide services under close supervision. Committed to fostering awareness, acceptance, and inclusivity, the team strives to create an emotionally safe environment, amplify marginalized voices, and uphold its role as an actively anti-racist center.
Commitment to Diversity & Inclusion
Diversity involves the understanding, affirmation, and professional application of the richness of human differences, experiences, and intersecting identities. In an on-going effort to be an actively anti-racist center, CAPS strives to be a co-conspirator alongside other campus resources with a shared commitment to providing an emotionally safe and respectful environment for all. We promote and amplify the voices of individuals who have been marginalized. Therefore, we will use every opportunity to create lasting systemic change.
