Call Me MISTER Scholarship

Teacher education students accepted into the Call Me MISTER program at Longwood receive a renewable Call Me MISTER Scholarship of at least $3,000 per year. While the amount of the award will vary based on other financial aid eligibility, the Call Me MISTER (CMM) Scholarship provides MISTERS an additional source of financial support for their studies.

The award is automatically renewed for up to eight consecutive semesters of full-time enrollment, provided the MISTER maintains a minimum grade point average (of 3.0) and stays on track toward timely completion of one of the university’s teacher preparation programs.

Other Scholarships

In addition to the CMM Scholarship, Longwood has numerous scholarships and financial awards for which CMM participants may be eligible, both at the undergraduate and graduate levels.

Past MISTERS have also secured partial student loan forgiveness through their school division employers and through the Virginia Teaching Scholarship Loan Program (VTSLP) of the Virginia Department of Education (VDOE).
