At the College of Business and Economics (CBE) you can choose among several majors: management, marketing, finance, economics, information systems to name a few. Our real estate program is among the top programs in the world. There are five centers in the CBE that add to the richness of your educational experience.
- The Center for Cyber Security provides the opportunity for you to become a sophisticated digital citizen, to learn to create secure digital environments for organizations—and for yourself. The Center for Cyber Security works with leading experts in the industry to ensure you are always on the cutting edge of this rapidly-changing, high-demand field.
- The Center for Financial Responsibility, founded after the 2008 financial crisis, is dedicated to the delivery of curricula focused on financial literacy at all levels. The CFR teaches a dual credit financial responsibility course to several hundred high school students each year, as well as courses for Longwood University students.
- The Logistics Center is focused on supply chain management and the techniques and skills required to efficiently distribute goods around the globe. The Logistics Center is a member of the Commonwealth Center for Advanced Logistics Systems (CCALS), a Virginia-based research consortium focused on logistics research and best practices.
- The McGaughy Internship & Professional Development Center serves students in several vital roles. It is the source of initial academic advising for students who have not yet declared a business major. Students in the College of Business and Economics are required to have an internship experience prior to graduation. The McGaughy Center manages the internship process for students. In addition, the McGaughy Center serves students through professional development activities. Examples include everything from learning to tie a necktie, business dinner etiquette and protocol, resume writing and refinement, interview skills and job search assistance.
- The SNVC Leadership Institute delivers leadership courses based upon the 7 Habits of Highly Effective People by Steven R. Covey. The 7 Habits have been used by tens of thousands of people to improve their personal and professional productivity and relationships. Training in the 7 Habits is available to all students at Longwood University.

Consider a Business Minor, or a Master of Business Administration through our 4+1 program. Our advisors in the McGaughy Center will gladly work with you and your major advisor to select business classes that augment and enhance your education.
