Dr. Kathy Gee was selected for the 2019 Outstanding Educator Award by the Piedmont Soil and Water Conservation District for her “continuing conservation education involvement with college students and adults include research, classroom education, and community learning programs that continue to make a positive difference in the environment.” Dr. Gee teaches several courses within the Integrated Environmental Sciences program and her research program focuses on the hydrologic and water quality benefits of rainwater harvesting systems and other stormwater management practices.
