FRIDAY, NOV. 6

2 - 4 p.m.
- Campus Tours
  - Curious about new buildings and where things are located? Explore campus with a current student. Tours last 45 minutes to an hour. All tours will start and end at Radcliff Hall. Not interested in a tour? Stop by Radcliff to reconnect with old friends while making new connections with alumni of all ages.
2 - 4 p.m. | Radcliff Hall, 310 Buffalo Street
- Show and Tell with Longwood Archives
  - After checking in, join other alumni for a tour of exclusive historical items from Greenwood Library’s Special Collections.
4 - 4:30 p.m. | Colonnades
- Memorial Service
  - Reflect and remember classmates no longer with us during this special remembrance event.
4:30 p.m.
- Rotunda Sing
  - Head to the Rotunda for a gathering of several generations of Longwood's Gold Society (Class of 1976 and prior) for a tradition singalong around Joanie on the Stony before transitioning to dinner.
5 - 7 p.m.
- Gold Society Induction Dinner and Pinning Ceremony
  - Enjoy a sit-down meal before pinning the Class of 1976 as the newest members of the Gold Society. After dinner, take a class photo before catching a golf cart over to Joan Perry Brock Center to cheer on the women’s basketball team, or take a shuttle back to your hotel.
5:30 - 7 p.m. | Willett Gym
- Homecoming Kickoff and The GAME Pep Rally
  - Kick off Homecoming & Alumni Weekend 2026 with great food, great company and plenty of Longwood pride! Enjoy a picnic-style dinner, and raise a glass to your Alma Mater with a complimentary drink ticket (cashless bar available). Then join current students for The GAME Pep Rally as we unveil the 2026 scarf and parade together in true Longwood spirit to cheer on the women’s basketball team in the Joan Perry Brock Center.
8 p.m. | Joan Perry Brock Center
- Homecoming Women’s Basketball Game
  - Join Lancer fans in the Joan Perry Brock Center to kick off the weekend by cheering on our women’s basketball team. All Homecoming & Alumni Weekend registrants attending the game will receive a 2026 Longwood Scarf with their credentials! (Registrants will get exclusive access to purchase tickets for this game in early fall, prior to the general public.)
10:30 p.m.
- Campus Ghost Tours
  - Do you know all of Longwood’s urban legends? Conclude your evening with a few fun (and slightly spooky) campus ghost stories. Warm up with hot chocolate and apple cider as you hear the tales that have been passed down through generations of Lancers.

SATURDAY, NOV. 7

10 a.m. - 2 p.m. | North Wynne Lot, Hooper Street Lot, Pierson Lot
- Lancer Family Tailgate
  - College athletics isn’t complete without a tailgate, and neither is Longwood’s Homecoming weekend! So grab your gear—and blue-and-white cornhole boards—and make plans for the perfect fall day. Enjoy games, great music and swag giveaways at this BYOB event before the men’s game in Joan Perry Brock Center. All ages are welcome, so bring the whole family. Registrants can reserve a tailgating parking space for $50-$75 per space (details provided when you register for Homecoming).
    
    Those without a tailgate space should still plan to join the party! Just park in one of the alternate game-day parking lots (free), and walk to the tailgate lot. There’s no cost to enter, and, if you want, you can bring in chairs, food, beverages, etc. Just remember that you won’t have a designated space to set up.
3 p.m. | Joan Perry Brock Center
- Homecoming Men’s Basketball Game
  - Join Lancer fans in Joan Perry Brock Center to watch the men’s basketball team play their first Saturday home game of the season. (Registrants will get exclusive access to purchase tickets for this game in early fall, prior to the general public.)
5:30 - until | North Street Press Club, 127 North Street
- After Party at Press Club
  - Whether you’re a former student-athlete or a proud member of Lancer Nation, all fans are invited to the After Party! Enjoy live music, food trucks, and dancing into the wee hours—plus, the cover charge is waived for registered guests with Homecoming & Alumni Weekend credentials.
8 - 9 p.m.
- Lancer Productions Event
  - We’ve partnered with Lancer Productions for an evening of fun and entertainment! This family-friendly event will feature an exciting performance perfect for Lancers of all ages. Stay tuned for the big reveal!

SUNDAY, NOV. 8

9:30 - 11 a.m.
- Blue & White Pickleball Tournament
  - Wrap up Homecoming & Alumni Weekend with some friendly competition at our doubles Pickleball Tournament! Spots will go fast—so pick your partner and make plans to join us! It’s the perfect way to squeeze in one last bit of fun before heading home. Sign-up details are provided in your Homecoming registration confirmation email.
11 a.m. - 1:30 p.m. | Dorrill Dining Hall
- Brunch
  - After checking out of your hotel room or playing in our pickleball tournament, grab brunch through the line at Dorrill Dining Hall and look out over Iler Field to where Longwood’s new music building is being constructed! $14.18 per person
Noon - 1:30 p.m.
- VIP Fan Experience
  - Step behind the scenes with an exclusive guided tour of the Joan Perry Brock Center—featuring rare access to the locker rooms, film room, and more. Then lace up your tennis shoes and take the court for a one-of-a-kind shootaround on Jerome Kersey Court. Capture memories as you sink your best shots and enjoy an experience that every Lancer fan—and basketball enthusiast—will treasure!

DINING

Dinner is included for those attending the Gold Society Induction and Homecoming Kickoff / Welcome Back, both scheduled for Friday night. There are plenty of dining options on campus and around town for you to enjoy throughout the weekend!

LODGING

Holiday Inn Express - Farmville - Exterior of the Holiday Inn Express & Suites building under a bright, partly cloudy sky. The four-story hotel has red and tan panels with rows of windows. A covered entrance canopy extends toward an empty parking lot. Holiday Inn Express & Suites signs are mounted near the roofline.

Longwood has reserved blocks of discounted rooms at a few area hotels, including the Hampton Inn, Tru by Hilton and Holiday Inn Express. You’ll receive more information on these discounted group rates and exclusive offer codes when you register. Note: These blocks of rooms fill fast, so don’t wait to book your accommodations!

WEEKEND FAQ

What can I expect?
- The schedule includes many of the things you love about past Homecoming & Alumni Weekends, including an epic pre-game tailgate, great entertainment, two action-packed basketball games in the new Joan Perry Brock Center (JPB) and affinity gatherings. But there’s so much more! For those who can only come just for the day, you’re in luck. Many highlights of the weekend will take place on Saturday: our Lancer Family Tailgate, Spirit March to JPB, men’s hardwood matchup and opportunities to reconnect with classmates. While meals and drinks are not included in the cost of registration (other than the Gold Society dinner and drink ticket/food at the Homecoming Kickoff / The GAME Pep Rally on Friday), there will be plenty of dining options on campus and around town for you to enjoy! (Registration fees were kept to a minimum again this year to make the event even more accessible to all alumni and friends.)
What does the cost of registration include?
- Your registration includes an exclusive 2026 Longwood Scarf (distributed only at the women’s basketball game), a 2026-27 season “Go Wood” T-shirt, early access to purchase tickets for the weekend’s basketball games before the general public this fall, game-day merch at the tailgate, one drink ticket and food at the kickoff event on Friday, entry to the Press Club and live music on Saturday night, and exclusive discounts at local restaurants (including food trucks at the block party) and shopping spots.
What are affinity and identity gatherings? And if I’m interested in hosting one, whom do I contact?
- Affinity gatherings are a chance for you and fellow alumni to reconnect over shared experiences—whether identity-based or involvement-based. From fraternities and sororities to student government to multicultural organizations, we want you and your friends to reminisce about your life here on campus and the experiences that shaped your journey. Email alumni@longwood.edu to start planning. We’ll assist with communication, scheduling and reserving space on campus.
What type of lodging is available?
- You can find a comprehensive list of places to stay at VisitFarmville.com, and several blocks of rooms have been reserved at area hotels. We worked diligently with each hotel to set reasonable rates, and our hotel partners are eager to host you and your guests. Upon registration, you’ll receive more information about those discounted group rates and offer codes.
Is Homecoming & Alumni Weekend family-friendly? Are kids welcome?
- Yes! There will be lots of activities for children of all ages to enjoy. The Lancer Family Tailgate on Saturday will give kids plenty of room to work off some energy and an area with a variety of outdoor games and activities. Children will also get a kick—and a big dose of Lancer spirit—out of attending the men’s and women’s basketball games in the new Joan Perry Brock Center.
I’m not a sports fan—should I come to Homecoming & Alumni Weekend?
- Absolutely! The opportunity to experience a game in the impressive Joan Perry Brock Center is something both sports fans and non-sports fans will enjoy. If you decide you’d rather not go to the game, there are still plenty of other activities during the weekend to keep you entertained. You’ll have time to explore and enjoy downtown Farmville. (Spoiler alert: If you haven’t visited in a while, you may be shocked at how much the town has grown.) On Saturday, hang out with family, friends and/or classmates at the Lancer Family Tailgate on campus. Or drop by Greenwood Library to take a stroll down memory lane courtesy of items pulled from the Longwood archives.
